In collaboration with units from Shayetet 13, the Duvdevan Unit, and the Israel Security Agency (ISA), the 401st Brigade combat team continues its activities at the Shifa Hospital.
The operation led to the apprehension of numerous high-profile terrorists affiliated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad organizations. These individuals were implicated in orchestrating acts of terrorism in Judea and Samaria, as well as playing roles in the propaganda network and the Rocket Unit of the Islamic Jihad organization. The captured suspects are undergoing initial interrogation by Unit 504 within the Intelligence Directorate (J2) and will subsequently be subjected to further investigation by the unit and ISA within Israeli territory.
IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari commented:
"Hamas tried to rebuild its base in the hospital and use it as a refuge for fleeing terrorists. We will not allow this and will continue to strike wherever Hamas tries to regain its control."

Earlier this week, based on intelligence from the IDF and ISA indicating the presence of senior Hamas operatives at Shifa Hospital, precise operations were conducted by IDF and ISA forces within the compound. This resulted in the elimination of Faiq Mabhouh, who served as the head of Hamas' Internal Security Operations Directorate and oversaw coordination of terrorist activities in the Gaza Strip.
Mabhouh was encountered and neutralized by troops while armed and hiding within a compound at Shifa Hospital, where he operated to further terrorist endeavors. Additionally, a significant cache of weapons was discovered in the adjoining room where the encounter took place.
